Dr. Shirley is the founding doctor of Family First Pediatrics and has been a primary care pediatrician since 2002.  Dr. Shirley was born and raised in the Northwest Houston area and attended St. Mary's University for his undergraduate education.  Dr. Shirley then returned to Houston to attend University of Texas Health Science Center-Houston for medical school and completed his pediatric training at Driscoll Children's Hospital in Corpus Christi. Following residency Dr. Shirley entered the United States Air Force as a pediatrician, serving for 5 years in Del Rio, Texas and Hawaii.  Once Dr. Shirley's military service was complete, his family decided to move back to Houston to open a practice here in Spring.  Dr. Shirley is married and the father of three beautiful girls.  Dr. Shirley is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, and licensed to practice in the state of Texas.

Dr. Ugwuzor was born in Nigeria and moved to Katy, TX at an early age. She received her undergraduate degree in Public Health at The University of Texas at Austin in 2013. Following her undergraduate studies, she received her medical degree from The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston in 2017. She spent three years in residency at Phoenix Children’s Hospital and graduated in 2020. She has a particular interest in adolescent care and behavioral health.

In her free time, she enjoys painting, singing, watching football, discovering new music and experimenting with new food.
